Class 11 Textiles - Stuffed Toys

Lesson: Design and technology

Class: Year 5 Year: 2023 - 2024

In January and February, Class 11 enjoyed designing and making their own stuffed toys as part of their Textiles project. We looked at current toys and designs to get some ideas.

We learned how to thread a needle as well as sew on buttons, make decorative stitches, use applique to join different pieces of fabric and use a blanket stitch to seal our toy after we stuffed it.
