Welcome to Year 4!

The Year 4 team are Miss Garside, Miss Hitchen, Mrs Preston and Mrs Field...

We will keep updating our year group page with some of the work we have produced so please keep a look out!

Here are some interesting facts about us. Did you know...

Miss Garside is football crazy!  She use to play semi professional football for Stoke City Ladies.  When she was a little younger than she is now, she was scouted by England under 21s and 23s (unfortunatley she was too old because she was actually 24). Unfortunately, Miss Garside broke her leg in three places - this caused her football career to end :(  She is the PE co-ordinator at Gainsborough and her favourite subject is PE, closely followed by Maths.  As you know she is from Stoke therefore her favourite word is 'duck'!

Miss Hitchen has just got a new puppy called Luna! She loves walking with Merlin and Luna, with her family. She is Man City mad and is in charge of the Choir at Gainsborough which she thoroughly enjoys doing because she lvoes a good sing song. She is looking forward to teaching the same children as last year. Year 4 here we come!

Mrs Preston is a BIG liverpool fan, much to Miss Hitchen's disgust. She loves spending time with her three boys and husband. She loves watching the soaps. She is really looking forward to teaching the same children... for the third year.

Mrs Field is very passionate about reading and loves the outdoors and nature.
