School Council

Gainsborough has a well established School Council comprising of demorcratically elected pupil members from Years 2 - 6. It effectively represents one of our many ways of including the children’s views in all aspects of school life. Pupils' ideas and opinions are highly valued and the School Council meet each month to discuss items that matter to them. Pupils complete a questionnaire every year and the Council seek to address any issues that have been raised.

So far this year our school council have respresented Gainsborough at the Armistice Day Service with Mayor, Cllr Dennis Straine-Frances, have made 'QWAC' boxes for each class so questions, worries and concerns of pupils can be addressed, supported different year groups with their Christmas party and raised the profile of UK Parliament Week with their classes during November.
