Year 6 Ambassadors

Year 6 Ambassadors

We strongly believe that Year 6 should be role models and set an example to the rest of the school. The children apply for the respective positions. Once a child applies and becomes a Year 6 Ambassador, they are expected to carry out their duties and responsibilities, attend all relevant meetings and training and do not abuse their position. These roles involve being Playtime Buddies, Assembly Monitors, Class Helpers and Reading Partners.

The ambassadors with play time duties supervise and coach children in the following areas:

  • Chill Out Zone – for quieter activities such as colouring, cats cradles, toy cars and board games
  • Craze of the Week – clapping games, french skipping, catch cups and shoosh balls
  • Talent Zone Stage Area – dressing up box, scenery chalking and the popular Gainsborough’s Got Talent competition

A safe and supportive environment; safe from hurt by others, in what they say or do; safe to learn within an enquiring environment; encouraging creativity, and a questioning mind.

Smart ways of thinking and learning, behaving and the way in which we present ourselves, as a member of Gainsborough School.

Treat others as you wish to be treated, help each other to be happy within school, greet others with a smile, help to create a happy and enthusiastic place to learn.
