Homework
Weekly Homework:
Given out each Friday, homework should be handed in the following Wednesday.
Homework is linked to classroom learning and will include maths, English, reading, spellings.
Please ensure your child's homework is presented neatly, using a pencil.
Spellings:
Your child's spelling group will be highlighted for you. Spellings will be linked with phonic knowledge.
Each Friday the children will have a spelling test.
Please make sure your child learns these daily.
Reading:
Please read at least 4 times a week, and sign your child's diary each time.
A class reading record is kept and children receive on-the-spot rewards for their effort.
Termly Homework Grid:
Check-out the termly homework grid which you will find in your child's homework book.
This includes lots of practical things to make and do, which are linked to the Year 2 curriculum.
Purple Mash:
Log in details can be found in your child's reading diary and homework book.
This is a great resource for your child to continue with their learning in ICT but also offers cross curricular learning.
