This term in maths we will using Power Maths to learn about:  Multiplication and Division (Multiply a number up to 4-digits by a 1-digit number, multiply 2-digit numbers (area model), multiply 2-digit numbers, multiply a 3-digit number by a 2-digit number, multiply a 4-digit number by a 2-digit number, Divide a number up to 4 digits by a 1 digit number, divide with remainders, efficient division, solve problems with multiplication and division), Fractions (Multiply non-unit fractions by an integer, multiply non-unit fractions by an integer, multiply mixed numbers by integers, fraction of an amount, finding the whole, using fractions as operators), Decimals and percentages (Write decimals up to 2 decimal places - less than 1, write decimals up to 2 decimal places - greater than 1, equivalent fractions and decimals - tenths, equivalent fractions and decimals - hundredths, equivalent fractions and decimals, thousandths as fractions, thousandths as decimals, thousandths on a place value grid, compare and order decimals - same number of decimal places, compare and order any decimals with up to 3 decimal places, round to the nearest whole number, round to one decimal place, understand percentages, percentages as fractions and decimals, equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages), Measure - perimeter and area (Perimeter of rectangles, perimeter of rectilinear shapes, perimeter of polygons, area of rectangles, area of compound shapes, estimate area), Graphs and tables (Draw line graphs, read and interpret line graphs, read and interpret tables, two-way tables, timetables).

Maths homework will be set on a weekly basis and will either be a written homework or computer based.  If you have any difficulty accessing the internet, please notify your child's teacher and we will organise computer access for them within school.  Homework is handed out to the children every Friday and is due in on the following Wednesday.
