Homework
This will come home with your child on a Friday and is due back to school on the following Wednesday.
Reading (15 – 30 minutes per evening, a minimum of 4 times a week)
Children need to complete a comment in their reading diary when they have read and initialled or signed by an adult.
Comprehension - Most children will have a CGP workbook, one week the homework will be to read the text and discuss it with adults at home, the following week's homework will be to answer questions on the text.
Maths – Most children will have a Math workbork and will be set a page to complete each week. Some children will have a piece of maths work stuck into their homework books to reinforce their learning in class.
Grammar, punctuation and spelling - Some children will, again, have a workbook where they will be set a page to complete. Other chidlren will have set spellings with a range of activities to complete.
All children need to continue to practise their times tables and associated division facts up to 12 x12.
