Our topic, this term, is the Ancient Egyptians. Therefore, this term, our English writing will be about the Egyptians. Some texts that we will use are the Egyptian Cinderella and Secrets of a Sun King. We will also be focsuing on the short video clip - Tadeo Jones. During our English lessons this term, we will focus on fronted adverbials, expanded noun phrases, the use of paragraphs and punctuation. 

Spelling and Reading 

All Year 4 children will be given weekly spellings to learn.  They will be tested on a Friday.  Your child will also be given a Spelling Shed login to support them with spelling both in school and at home.

We love to read in Year 4. If you are not already members of the local library, consider joining so you can have access to lots and lots of books!
