18.05.20 - Letter to all parents regarding online communication and payments system. Please note that logon information will be forwarded when we have access to set parent/carers on the system.

Information from SchoolComms:

Gainsborough Primary & Nursery School uses School Gateway, the UK’s best parent engagement software, to make sure our parents are as closely involved with their children’s school lives as possible.

All school related communication, club bookings, dinners bookings and visit payments go through School Gateway – it is the central hub of information for our parents – so to stay up to date with what’s going on at school make sure you download the app for free. Just search School Gateway in your App store and download. Simple.

Apple iPhone users, download the app here: schoolgateway.co.uk/iosdownload

Android phone users, download the app here: schoolgateway.co.uk/androiddownload

Your login details will be automatically generated using the contact information Gainsborough Primary & Nursery School already has, so please make sure the details we hold for you are up to date. You can check and change these details by sending an email to admin@gainsborough.cheshire.sch.uk

If you have any questions or would like some more information, please see the School Gateway site here: https://schoolgateway.co.uk/.

You can also login to the online version of School Gateway via this site if you do not have a smart phone, although we do recommend using the app if possible as it makes it far easier to get hold of parents when we need to.

We have now registered with the government scheme for FSM vouchers to the value of £15 per week.  Emails will come from DfE (Department for Education) Please make sure you check ‘junk’ folders as the ecodes can sometimes land in there.  There has been a delay this week in vouchers being sent out due to the demand on the website but hopefully, moving forward vouchers should be received at the beginning of each week.   If you feel you may be eligible for these vouchers please ring Cheshire East on 0300 123 5012 (option 1)

29th April 2020

The government Free School Meal website has been running slow; they have been working hard to rectify this.  Anyone trying to redeem an eCode received on 27th and 28th April and receiving error messages can now try again.

How to redeem the eCodes as they cannot be directly spent in-store. Parents/carers must:

  1. Go to http://www.freeschoolmeals.co.uk and enter their 16-digit eCode
  2. Choose from the selection of supermarket eGift cards and enter the delivery email address at checkout
  3. An email with the eGift card(s) will arrive within 24 hours
  4. The email contains either a barcode, or a link to an online barcode that can be taken in-store to be spent
